Music has been used for centuries as a form of communication, celebration, meditation, and even mourning. The sounds created by music can tell a story or help you to process an emotion without even using words. Using the letters from the word “musician” you can spell “I Can Music” and that’s where the premise for this company was born. Music is an important tool that can be used in many parts of your life. It can teach you communication, team work, humility, bravery, understanding and love. At “I Can Music” we want you to believe you can too. We use positive reinforcement, encouraging language and a fun and upbeat attitude to enhance your learning. We hope that you’ll consider a class with us to encourage your emotional wellness and your musical ability at the same time.

I Feel. I Grow. I Can. Through Music.
Think Mommy and Me music classes, but now it’s for everyone! This class creates a bonding experience for children and their caregivers. Everyone is welcome no matter what your tiny human calls you! Explore language development, fine and gross motor skills, co-operation, and an over-all good time!
You will see your baby smile and hear them squeal with joy as they learn to recognize songs, language patterns and finger play games. They will be encouraged to experiment with a variety of percussion instruments and touch based learning.
Sarah incorporates various vowel and consonant sounds, and baby sign into her infant classes. She encourages toddlers and preschoolers to share, make new friends, and cooperate with other children and with grown ups.
Some of her songs remain consistent from week to week, but others change depending on the chosen theme or the season. Each class in your six-week session will have a focus on emotional recognition and motor skills.
Sound It Out Classes
Sound It Out: A Musical Approach to Self-Regulation and Bonding
A mental health-informed group music lesson for ages 4-7 for Children AND Caregivers
Children. We love them! They’re wonderful! But man, can they ever be tiring! Especially when they’re not regulated. Does it sometimes feel like all you’re doing is disciplining your child? Does it feel like you’re not getting through to them? Do you feel hopeless and exhausted? Well, you’re not alone. Lots of folks have reached out to us to ask for help, so we’ve developed a program for parents and children! During the first half of the class, children will work on fun music and self-regulation skills independently with an instructor, while parents work with another instructor in another room. Each week will have a different focus, and the last half of the class will include observation and coaching of the learned skills in a fun and interactive way. This environment is designed to make sure that everyone succeeds and to help children and parents learn to communicate in different ways.
One Two Ready And…
This series of classes is designed for students with good self-regulation skills who are ready to learn about music using interesting and captivating songs, rhythms, sensory materials and team-work.
Our groups are smaller than the ones at school, so more one on one time can be spent during these classes with your little musician to springboard their development to the next level.
Splitting the class up between movement, new skills, old favourites, and musical sensory play, your child will know they are an important part of the “band” at the end of every class. We can’t wait for you to join us!
Have a singer on your hands? Check out our “One Two Ready Sing” classes. “One Two Ready Play” helps your child learn the basics of music.
Want to sign up but need a payment plan? No problem! Send us a message and we will work with you! Music should be accessible for everyone and we are happy to help!
For the Grown Ups
Campfire Queens is a cozy, confidence-building guitar circle for women and non-binary folks who want to strum, sing, and connect in community. Whether you’re a total beginner or you’ve dabbled before, this class is all about embracing the joy of music without pressure or perfection.
We’ll gather in a relaxed, campfire-style circle to learn easy chords, play familiar songs, and belt out harmonies together. Think: warm vibes, nostalgic tunes, and zero judgment. No solo performances, just shared songs and shared stories.
Bring your guitar (or borrow one!), your voice, and your spirit of adventure. Let’s make music that feels like home. Have another instrument that you want to work with? Bring it! As long as it plays in the key of positivity, you’ll have a great time!
